8 months

Here's me sitting on a park bench after church. I now weigh 19lbs.
Although I haven't started crawling yet, I can get on all-fours and move back and forth. This weekend I even tried to extend one arm, but I fell on my face. I'm good about not fussing when I fall.

Last night I had a bad experience with teething. Although I already have my bottom two teeth, my next tooth that is coming through hurts a lot. To help me feel better, mom and dad tried to give me some Infant Motrin last night. However, I really don't like the medicine so when mom tried to deposit it in my mouth, I continuously blew so no medicine could get in. Mommy finally calmed me down by singing "Hush-a-Bye Baby."

The weather is really warming up so we are spending lots of time at the park. I like the wind on my face as I ride in my stroller.

Last Thursday, Aunt Kerrie and my cousins Hayden and Tyler came over to play. I sure like my boy cousins. Hayden let me chew on his arm. Grandma also came over with her easter bunny ears on. Then, right before bedtime, Mommy surprised Grandpa and all three boys got to skype with him.

Aunt Joy takes good care of me while mommy and daddy are at work. She teaches me sign language to help me communicate when I'm eating. The first sign I do now is when I'm "all done." For now, I'm all done with this blog. Talk to you soon!

My latest

I make my mommy and daddy's heart melt now when I reach for them to pick me up.

On Sunday, we went to the Fellowship of The Woodlands church. It was my first experience in a protestant church. Although the music was loud, I slept most of the time. Dad, mom, and I will go to that church on a frequent basis, and go to St. Edward Catholic Church once a month so mom can receive the eucharist.

Jackson's 7 month development profile

Hello world! Can you believe I am 7 months old already? Mommy realized that she just can't stop me from being a baby. As you can see, I no longer have my reddish-brown comb over. I'm just not a newborn anymore. I can sit up on my own, roll over, I babble like a Broussard, grab for my toys and put them (and everything) in my mouth, eat sweet potato, squash, mango and other fruits, yogurt, oatmeal, and tofu! I can hold my bottle with one hand now. Recently, I learned to reach for mommy. My first two teeth came in this month. Teething has been a painless process, for mom and dad, so far. I have had a couple ear infections, runny nose, and a cough. For the record, I DO NOT like mommy and Aunt Joy wiping my nose or giving me medicine through a medicine dropper. They tried to trick me by giving me the bottle first, but I wised up. I'm no fool. Life is good...no complaints!
