I rolled over at 3 months
Yesterday, while I was chilling on the rug at Joy's, I rolled over for the first time. I wasn't really sure what happened and it kind of startled me. Aunt Joy came and turned me over on my back, and I was happy again. Then, last night while I was sleeping, I woke up and rolled over. Dad came in and found me on my tummy and picked me up. I wonder when I'm going to be able to roll back onto my back again??? Well, what else is new? Oh, I am teething for sure. Even though I haven't broken the skin yet, I bite down on my fingers or anything I can get into my mouth. I talk all the time now. My most talkative moments are in the morning when I wake up and then around 6PM after my bath. I love my baths with daddy. I kick and splash the water.
I had some pictures taken with mom, dad and grandma on November 4th. Mom made the appointment for 2PM, knowing that my nap time was 3:30PM. Well, the photographer was running an hour behind. At 3PM, we started with Christmas pictures; I was a happy baby. At 3:30PM on the dot, I got fussy and crashed. So, the pictures of me with my eyes closed, was during my nap time.
On November 10th, mom and dad were at my Baptismal class, while Aunt Joy babysat me. Aunt Joy gave me a bath with my cousin Penny at 7 o'clock. Mom forgot to tell Aunt Joy that I go pee-pee when I hit the warm water. Well, needless to say, I shot Penny in the cheek. I was so glad to hear her laugh and say "Do it again!" I didn't know I'm not supposed to do that!

When I held my head up
On Friday, October 10th, Aunt Anna was holding me on her lap, when I held my head up on my won for the first time. On Saturday, mom and dad took me to meet my great-grandparents in De Ridder Louisiana. Maw Maw and Paw Paw have a nice house on the farm. I'm eating about 24 oz a day now and weigh almost 14lbs. I just finished talking to grandpa in the computer. He said I just keep getting bigger and bigger. He made me laugh.

Now I'm 2 months old
Mom says that I'm really cute. My favorite things to do are eat and play in my swing. I love smiling too. Whenever mom says: "Give mommy a smile" I smile. It's really fun. Oh, and I've started sleeping through the night.
However, the biggest event that happened to my at 2 months old, was Hurricane Ike. Hurricane Ike was scheduled to hit Galveston and then head over to Corpus Christi on September 12th. Mom and dad planned to stay in Houston since the storm really wouldn't hit us. Even when the storm decided to hit Houston, mom and dad said we'll stay. Then, Uncle Kevin, Nanna and Arianna came over and we all decided to head up to Dallas. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Las Collinas, just outside of Dallas for two nights. Then, mommy called Uncle Jimmy in Austin Texas. We then drove to Austin and stayed with Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Kerrie and Hayden and Tyler. I had so much fun playing with my cousins. On Monday, September 15th, we went and watched Uncle Jimmy coach Hayden's 3-year old soccer team. Tyler, just 20 months old, thought he was 3 as well. He loved kicking the soccer ball around on the field. Daddy thinks Tyler will be a running back one day. While we were in Austin, we went to Dr. Rice for my 2 month checkup. At 2 months, I weighed 12.6oz (75th percentile) and 23 & 1/4 in length (50th percentile).
While we were in Austin, Aunt Joy and Uncle Jeff went and checked on our house for us. There was no damage. Joy was nice enough to clean out the fridge and prevent and "science experiments" that would have grossed me out!
Well, we stayed in Austin for 10 days, and then headed over to grandma's house in Kingwood. Grandma was in Bamph, Canada, but we thought she might have power, according the CenterPoint Energy's prediction. But, she didn't. So, we decided to come back home. With no power, mom and dad put a mattress on the tile floor figuring that I might be more comfortable down there. That night, I didn't sleep well at all. It was just too hot for my little body. All I'm used to is airconditioning. So, the next morning, mom called Aunt Kerrie's mom, Julie Illanne, who lived in Cypress, TX. We spent two nights at the Illanne's house. On Thursday, mom and I went over to Uncle Kevin and Nanna's house, because they had power. On Friday around noon, our neighbor Stephanie called us and told us that we had power. That's 15 days without power. Although we had power, we decided to stay with the Schwoerers and watch the presidential debate. We were disappointed in McCain's performance. Obama sure out shown him. We are worried that there is a high probability that Obama might be our next president. At least I'll be able to say that I was born the year that a republican was president and Hurricane Ike ravished through our home town and neighborhood.
I know it sounds silly but mom and I went to Kroger for the first time this month. We had never been because mom was too worried that I would cry...but I didn't. I just sat in my infant carrier and looked around. Who are we kidding, I just stared at the lights the whole time.
Let's see, other developments. Oh, I grew out of my newborn cry. I'm such a big boy. I now have this cry that mom calls my "fake cry." However, it works! I am trying more and more to get my fist in my mouth. Mom doesn't let me though.
Next week, on October 8th, mom goes back to work. I will go to Aunt Joy's house who will watch me while mommy and daddy are at work. I'm excited about spending time with my cousin Penny, but I'll miss mommy a lot.
Well, that's all for now.
